I am not sure that everyone knows the significance of winning this election. We all have counted in one way
or another on the IBEW and the Trade Union movement for the quality of life that we have and we enjoy.
I could not let this evening
pass without thanking you all for everything that you have done to help in making sure that we can continue our efforts to strengthen
the IBEW, through your assistance, no matter how large or how small we will survive.
I am sure everyone remembers that we resisted
taking a position in the primary contests because we believed that if we were to be able to pull our membership together for the all
important win in the General Election we knew that we had to allow the process to work, and it did.
I want to thank you for every
envelope you stuffed, every call you made, every door you knocked on, every piece of literature that you handed out and most
important the vote that you cast, regardless who you cast if for, this has strengthened the Trade Union Movement and America.
Lest I forget thank you for being a part of this great Brotherhood we call the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, whether
it is by membership or employment thank you for the work you do.
God Bless you and Good Night.
